Ryan grew up on the shores of Washington State’s lush Puget Sound where his interests naturally evolved from beachfront fun, sailing and boat building to a heartfelt interest in the region’s diverse and delicate ecosystem. The University of Washington’s department of Landscape Architecture provided fertile ground for Ryan’s creativity and talent for design, along with his innate sensitivity to environmental issues, to develop and mature into a practical outlet for these combined passions. Today, whether he’s building 14 foot wooden kayaks, whimsical concrete fountains or tranquil rooftop gardens, Ryan finds pleasure and fulfillment in bringing a well-crafted plan to fruition.
