Inhabitants of the small coastal village of Westport Massachusetts appreciate what it means to respect the natural beauty of the land and sea, while at the same time utilizing its great bounty. Westport people make their living by land and sea; it was perhaps natural then that Lauren, a native of Westport, was drawn to landscape architecture at the University of Massachusetts where she received formal training in what she knew innately: how to marry form and function in urban settings and private space through the careful and selective use of the environment. Lauren’s skill has been noticed and she is the proud recipient of an American Society of Landscape Architects Merit Award. When she’s not designing award winning landscape designs Lauren finds comfort in coastal kayaking, surfing and listening to music.
